mouuuuldit

My casted fist of fury. It's a cement mixture...thing. Sorry, I was busy texting with my friend to pay attention to what the teacher was saying. Anyway, so stage one complete.

Now to decorate it. And there is where I am stuck. D:

Scuplture!

By luck of the draw, or just poor scheduling conflicts, I had to drop a class -- and pick up sculpture! Exciting. And now that I've had the class I can talk about it. I was thinking pottery, because that's something I don't know how to go about at all. You have some clay, some utensils, and eventually you fire it. Right? Well, I'll never know, because this class is more about found objects, constructing and deconstruction, which I'm looking forward to. One day I'll know pottery, one day.

Check out these two sculptors I found. Pretty magical.

Wax & stuff.

I wasn't going to post anything today, but my friend, after a billion years of absence, finally updated her journal and I totally can't let her have the one up on me. That's right. Hah! Hah!

Hah. Hah. Hah?

Cell phone pictures because I'm at school, at a nice cafe, drinking a mocha, and not a home, where my fancy things are. The end.

Oh wait, um. So I did a wax carving. And that's the genie lamp I made. And below it are the tools I used. Well. Minus the knife I used to carve the cube of wax.

Whatever, I'll mention it again later when I'm done with it.

P.S.

Those are my fingers.

P.P.S.

I don't know why it was important to mention that. But it was.

P.P.P.S.

Carving is really fun.

Thank you.

not actually a wip anymore

Except that of course it is. All things are always a wip, if you look at them the right way.
...
Anyway, so this was an early picture of my sculpting project. Which was done and over with last week. I didn't take a picture of the actual finished thing. Unless you want cell phone photos. Which you don't. It's nice to have things done. Most of my projects from last quarter were conceptual more than anything. Can't take photos of things like that. Ah, no, no, please don't argue with me, I simply won't have it.

There you go.

P.S.

My prof. actually did take pictures, and when she sends them to me, eventually, maybe I'll post them up, if I'm not filled with a yawning sense of -- something.

Ta!
