Progression of light through an open window, no that's not it.
Basically my mother has a habit of getting me to do free art for other people, mainly her friends, and I respond by never getting it done. But this one is a birthday present for an uncle I love, so just this once, I'm going to do it. Let's go through the steps.
Disclaimer: I haven't slept in over 24 hours, I have no good will in my heart for even the most adorable kitten. This is a heed to take caution.
Right, set up, simple shapes. Good music is a must, and yes, you may draw in your underwear, but remember that hardwood can become sticky under warm weather.

And more blocking. Drink coffee. Be reluctant. Text with friends. Pet cat. Think about lunch. Go stand in the sun for a little bit. Remember to put on pants. And a shirt.
Stop. Don't get caught up in the details. Reply to email. Make more coffee. Attempt to nap on couch with cat. Cover negative space with light gray scale.

A little behind

I drew this as a present for my friend, Davy. Unfortunately I didn't take a picture of the final version. It looked pretty kickass at the end. Ink, marker, white out...oil paint...I don't even know anymore.

This is what my workstation always turns to.

And stuff.

Week 1 Report FC
A full week progress. I should probably move on to a different theme like add in backgrounds. Or not. I don't know. It's not really as fun as I thought it was going to be, but 7 days down, 21 to go. It's funny to see them laid out like this.

La--h-a-e-z-ee
Right, so I did this ATC thing, (Art Trade Cards, or something) and these are the ones I sent out. I -- um. Tried to stay simple, but next time, I think I'll be more adventurous. The theme was Summer, and, while, as I've been told, these aren't terribly Summer-like, they're what I think of.

I hope they are liked.

some odd days since
It's been almost two weeks, oh my. But that's ok. Because I bring pictures to be viewed! And possibly lots of random spelling errors, but that, I feel, can be forgiven. My sketchbook is almost full, and that makes me feel hopeful. There's very little like starting a new sketchbook after filling in the other.

I am very, very, very, very fond of this drawing. It's been a while since I have been able to do what I visualize in my mind. Clearly I need to stop sleeping and draw at my most deprived state to get that niggling self cersorship to shut up. Or maybe it's something else, and maybe it was a very good morning that day. Which it was, actually. I bet she's really fierce.

I am terribly amused by this. So much. Otherwise I wouldn't be showing it. I don't have much to say about it, other than the purple lines came first, and so, free form makes me happy.

This one is a bit older than the previous two, and, a favorite as well. I'd put it on my body if believed in her more. She has a great story behind her, I can feel it. Poems and songs and bed time tales, all about her. Whoever she might be.

I am resolute to keep tight lip about this one.

I don't want to talk about it.

As for the pictures. Well, you know--I just want to have fun, I think the saying goes.
