ho hum go

I went to Sakura-con with some friends last weekend. I was the wonderful and magical photographer, and as such I took a lot of photos. Oh did I ever. Now I have to go through all of them and crop, burn, and play with color. So much work. So much work. But it's been good so far, I think. I have a lot of material to trash and sift through and still have good solid picto-graphs.

Guess what my next few updates are going to be about? Yup. Maybe I'll throw in some interesting things about digital photography and process.

Here's one of lovely Seattle: I did love you, at first, but now I don't. The end.

Portland, an almost maybe series

Yesterday was a pretty full day. You should see my feet: they are not pretty and are falling apart. But that's ok because I now have material that should last me for some time. And if not, well, I will always have the stories. And pictures. 'Always' is subjective to time, though, so don't hold me to that.

People, I present to you a glimpse of Portland. Only a tiny one, though.

You better be nice to it, or it'll...um, cut you up? What?

Coke in a can

It's probably not a good sign that I can't wait for the end of the month when I won't have to update as regularly, but damnit, I set a goal and I will complete it!

I took some photos of Portland for a friend of mine some months ago, and I decided to share them here as well. I haven't been using my camera lately since I've lost the lens cap and I like having the lens not scratched.

I should make a series. One day. Not soon.

Oh man, I'm bad about days

Where do they go? Seriously! I need to know...

Seattle pictures again. A bit of landscape this time. Or is it cityscape? ...buildingscape? Eh. Have some pictures to look at.

Something Special

I had a chance to go to Seattle for a couple of days. Here I have some pictures from the Seattle Aquarium. They speak for themselves, I think.

slow days of dreaming

When I was younger, that is to say, when I was wee and pre-teen, my parents used to take me to beach quite often--once a month, at the least. It was so close, only twenty minutes away, forty with traffic. And then when we moved to Oregon and we went to the coast for the first time, it broke my heart to feel the water so icy cold. I stuck my feet in until my lips took a blue hue and my legs a violent purple. I didn't go again for a couple of years. I think now I can appreciate it better, and honest, after so long a time, I really missed the sound of waves breaking, the particular odor that is the sea, and of course, the way cool sand feels against bare feet. I didn't miss the jelly fish swimming next to me, though.
